Light of my Eyes
Written and directed by Sophie BREDIER
Documentary • 90 min

Synopsis
Ten years ago, from January to July 2012, I filmed Mahmoud, a blind and disfigured victim of the Egyptian Revolution, who came to France with other injured people for treatment. Around them, a remarkable community solidarity had been organized to help them live, but after a few months, this little humanist utopia came to an end. Summoned to return to his country, Mahmoud suddenly disappeared to live illegally in France. I left him to his own devices and lost sight of him. Today, I want to find him and finish this film. Ten years on, what has become of him? And what remains in those who went through this story with him?
