Synopsis

From his Provençal mill, Bernard, a retired doctor, is facing legal proceedings for helping patients to die. Almost against his will, he has become a go-to figure in the field of clandestine euthanasia: every week, he receives emails, phone calls or letters from people asking him for ‘one last act of care’.

As his trial begins and he cares for his seriously ill wife Claire, a new law on end-of-life care is about to be passed in France.
