Men on Boat
Written and directed by Carl Olsson
Documentary • Work in progress

Synopsis
The lights are beautiful in the North Sea. The ship is spotless. The working conditions aren’t particularly bad. The machinery runs smoothly, and the engine purrs. The crew speaks Filipino, the officers speak Norwegian. Together, they communicate very professionally in English. Everyone’s cabins are comfortable, there’s a gym, and the food is elaborate. Loaded with two million barrels of crude oil, the Scott Spirit and the men on board are quietly leading humanity to its doom.
